When a generic product is available from multiple suppliers, it can create confusion for the software. Although you want to buy and sell the product as the same item, the suppliers all have their own barcode and part number for the product. And when you purchase the product you need to use their part number and quoted price. So in Peach you can inventory all these variables as one Item and have the multiple suppliers all listed with their details to avoid having to set up multiple instances of what is essentially the same product
